Are you a student new to a
blended environment?

Take a minute to be glad your classroom looks different than the one above!

If you are new to a blended classroom, here are some tips to help you.
  1. Check class websites regularly for important updates and information.

  1. Be prepared to do the work of learning.  In a blended classroom, teachers are more like a "guide on the side" who are there to help you in the process of learning.

  1. Manage your time and plan on spending time on coursework daily.  You will be responsible for learning in and out of the classroom.

  1. Set goals and celebrate your successes!  Learning in a blended environment is hard work, but you will be better prepared for college courses that are online or blended.

  1. Ask for help. You will likely have access to your teacher through a variety of ways -- you don't have to wait until you're face-to-face to ask for help when needed.
